Job Summary
To provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments as needs are identified; provide assessment, adapted instructional materials and consultation services to students and teachers in area of specialty; and perform related Teacher of the Visually Impaired duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
This position is open until filled and applications will be screened on an on-going basis and qualified applicants will be invited to interview. Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree or higher. License or Certificate: Valid California Special Education teaching credential authorizing teaching of the Visually Impaired. Must Have English Learner (EL) Authorization. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Class C California Driver’s License.
School Year: 185 days per year. Locations: This is an itinerant position. It may include travel to various SCCOE school sites. MA (pro-rated) stipend $1,500; Doctorate (pro-rated) stipend $400. MUST SUBMIT RESUME; THREE LETTERS OF REFERENCE AND A COVER LETTER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.
