EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education: High School graduate (or the equivalent) and one of the following options: Associate Degree, 48 semester units of college course work from an accredited college or university, or passing test scores on the district paraprofessional test within the last 3 years. Proof of education (COPIES of official transcripts or diploma) must be submitted with the application, including In House employees. Online transcripts and Educational Plans will not be accepted. Experience: One year experience in working with children in an organized setting.

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups of students in an assigned special education program; monitor and report student progress regarding behavior and performance; perform a variety of clerical and supportive duties related to classroom activities.
