Job Summary
Johnstonville School is searching for a Full Time Special Education Teacher who will provide academic/intervention support with an emphasis on English Language Arts and Math. Special Education Teacher will provide instruction and services for students whose needs have been identified in an individualized education program (IEP) developed by the IEP team and who are assigned to regular classroom teachers for a majority of the school day. Provide information and assistance to exceptional needs students and their parents. Provide consultation, resource information and material regarding students with exceptional needs to the students’ parents and regular education staff members. Coordinate special education services with regular education school programs for each student with exceptional needs. Monitor student progress on regular basis, participate in review and revision of IEPs, as appropriate, and refer students who do not demonstrate appropriate progress to the IEP team. Assess students referred for special education services.

California Education Specialist Instruction Credential with a Mild/Moderate Disabilities (M/M) specialty or Mild to Moderate Support Needs authorization Those eligible for an Intern Credential or are a credential candidate are welcome to apply.
