GENERAL MUSIC QUALIFICATIONS • Ability to demonstrate basic knowledge of musical terminology, recorder, and vocal technique. • Ability to demonstrate basic music keyboard skills. • Knowledge and ability to arrange and transpose music, as needed, to improve instruction and student success. • Orr and Kodaly experience is preferred. • Vocal performance proficiency. INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC QUALIFICATIONS • Ability to demonstrate basic knowledge and technical ability on the following instruments: violin, cello, flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, and percussion, and saxophone • Ability to demonstrate basic music keyboard skills. • Performance level proficiency on one or more instruments. • Knowledge and ability to do minor instrument repairs.
