Job Summary
Acts as a teacher for cosmetology, esthetician, manicurist, and/or barbering courses. Teaches any assigned class blocks for a complete session (quarterly) in hair care, skin care, nail care, and/or barbering. May also be assigned shifts to oversee students working in The Salon at Simi Institute. This department offers a daytime program and an evening/Saturday program of study to students. Schedule is to be determined.
Requirements / Qualifications
> Current California Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential: Public Services OR > Current California Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Teaching Credential: Fashion & Interior Design > A strong skin care background is desirable The following items must be submitted to Personnel Services prior to the due date in order to complete the application process: > Completed Simi Institute application form (click here for downloadable form) > Personal letter of application giving reasons for being interested in this position > Current resume > 3-5 current letters of recommendation > Copies of appropriate licenses and/or credentials
