The salary range for this position has $54,600 to $71,822 starting salary depending on education (BA vs. BA + Credential) and experience. We offer a benefits package to full time employees that includes medical, dental, 403b retirement plan, matching on 403b, and partial tuition remission. SYVFS provides funding and onsite mentor/coach for the teacher induction program through SBCOE. Santa Ynez Valley Family School is seeking a talented and inspired elementary teacher for our multi-age classrooms. We currently have one K/1 co-teaching position open for the 2025/2026 school year. A position at SYV Family School is an opportunity to grow as a teacher/researcher in a supportive and active community. This position requires a person who is detail oriented, child-centered, has a sense of humor, and most of all, is able to work in a team. It is important to have a deep understanding of the developmental norms of the elementary age student. The teacher will have the opportunity to work in a collegial, collaborative environment where content is limited only by the imagination. Student progress will be measured using learning continuums in math, reading and writing as well as a social/emotional learning rubric. SYV Family School is currently using Bridges into Mathematics, Phono-graphix reading skills and Lucy Calkins Reading and Writing Workshop as the foundations of our program. Prior experience with specific curriculum is not required for consideration of the position. At SYV Family School, teachers provide recess duties and meet regularly as a staff to ensure a positive and productive school environment.
