PCS is seeking a knowledgeable, student-centered, and collaborative leader to serve as Director of South County Consortium. This position provides administrative oversight and program supervision for the consortium, ensuring high-quality services for students with disabilities. The Director will work closely with district and site leadership, educators, and families to support inclusive and effective special education programs. Reporting to the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, the ideal candidate will bring expertise in special education administration, program development, and staff support, along with a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Additional stipends: Master's degree $1,700, Doctorate degree $3,000, National Board Teaching Certification $1,700, and BCLAD Certificate $1400 ------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT DATES: Deadline for Applications: April 14, 2025 1st Round of Interviews: April 22, 2025 2nd Round of Interviews: April 24, 2025

Requirements / Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS: - A valid California Administrative Services credential; any of the following credentials: Pupil Personnel Services, Speech/Language Specialist, Special Education Mild/Moderate (or LH), Special Education Moderate/Severe (or SH). - A Master's or Doctorate degree in an area appropriate to special education, or related field. - Successful experience as a program administrator. - Experience as a district, SELPA or county office special education administrator AND experience working in programs for severely disabled students is required. - Experience in preschool special education is desirable.

They are expected to work with students, staff, parents and colleagues in a warm and supportive manner consistent with the District emphasis upon affective domain values. They are also expected, by their own example, to inspire others to the goal of life-long learning. Additionally, they are expected to maintain a clear focus on student welfare and achievement and to work in a collegial fashion with the entire District staff. Offer of employment is contingent upon fingerprint clearance. There is a fee required by the Department of Justice, payable by the employer, to process fingerprint clearance. Evidence that applicant is free from tuberculosis in accordance with Education Code 49406 is required.
