MERCY HIGH SCHOOL Burlingame, CA 94010 (650)343-3631PART-TIME HISTORY TEACHER Mercy High School, an all-girls college preparatory secondary school is hiring a part-time History Teacher to join our team! Sections may include college-prep or AP courses of the following subject areas: World History, US History, Government, Economics, Contemporary World Issues, and Psychology. Teachers have the opportunity to work in a small all-girls school environment. Position will teach a varied History curriculum. We are looking for applicants who can use engaging lessons to make History come alive. Reporting to the History Department chairperson, the teacher is responsible for the overall coordination of teaching in his/her subjects including executing well-developed lesson plans, accurate assessment of student’s progress, participation in department meetings and team planning sessions, supervision of students, willingness to learn new methodology and support departmental goals, ability to undertake co-curricular responsibilities. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
