Requirements / Qualifications

The teacher is responsible for designing and providing instructional experiences that will assist students to make optimum progress toward attainment of District goals. Conducts a program of instructional activities designed to enable students to achieve the instructional objectives set forth in the Course of Study as adopted by the Board of Education in assigned areas of instruction. Must have an Education Specialist Instruction credential: Moderate/Severe Disabilities, and have EL authorization. Health Benefits: Covina-Valley Unified School District offers 3 different employer-paid HMO medical plans (Kaiser HMO, BlueShield of California Access HMO, and Trio HMO) to choose from as well as full dental, vision, and life insurance plans at no cost to all benefit-eligible employees. Extended coverage for your qualified dependents is also available at a low price. Employees who work 31+ hours/weekly also have the option to choose a low-cost PPO plan.
