POSITION DETAILS The Fullerton School District is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time Personnel Technician II position. The current opportunity will be assisting in monitoring the status of employees on leave of absence, FMLA leave and reemployment lists, worker compensation and leaves, benefits and leaves, as well as performing other related duties as directed. This position will be working closely with the Classified and Certificated Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, and Risk Management departments as well as current District employees. Also performs highly skilled, technical personnel work related to recruitment, new employee processing, financial and statistical data preparation, and personnel record and file maintenance. The Personnel Technician II position monitors certificated assignments, applications and renewals to assure compliance with credential requirements; assists in the planning, development and administering of examinations and related tasks; provides information and assistance to District staff, applicants and the general public relative to personnel matters. The current anticipated opening is in the Certificated and Classified Human Resources departments working 40 hours per week between the hours of 8 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, 12 months/year. This position comes with paid holidays, sick leave and vacation, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by college-level courses or advanced training in Human Resources and related areas and five years increasingly responsible clerical experience, including at least one year in personnel.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURES This is a merged promotional and open competitive recruitment. The examination may consist of a training and experience (supplemental responses) evaluation, written test, performance test and/or structured oral interview. To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each part of the examination process. Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each part of the examination. If the Veteran's credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Commission Office at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing. The life of the eligibility list will be twelve (12) months. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill current and future vacancies. Date of Examination The date of the examination(s) will be announced at a later date. Candidates who are among the most qualified shall be notified via email and/or telephone of the time, date, and place of the examination(s).
