Job Summary: We are seeking passionate and knowledgeable educators to teach Tech 1 during our 2025 Summer Session. All Curriculum will be provided and include High Tech, Water Tech & Energy. These Tech 1 themes reflect both current and expected future changes in technology. Projects include: - High Technology & Space: Build a Mars (egg) Lander, Deconstruct a Cell Phone, Build a Simple E-Device (soldering) - Water: Design & Build an Aqueduct, Design & Build a Bridge, Build a Load-Carrying Boat - Energy – Renewable Resources: Design & Build a Solar Cooker, Build a Basic Electric Motor, Build & Race a Solar Model Car There is a daily major project for each topic in the TECH ONE classes. Generally, 2-4 students team up, each a stakeholder in the team’s project. Small groups facilitate discussion, division and accomplishment of significant tasks, and verbal reporting of progress and test results. In addition, each session will participate in a field trip to for a first hand look at how a local company utilizes state of the art equipment to design, fabricate and assemble a wide array of products. Length of Work Year: 11.5 days, 4 hours per day (June 16 - July 1 with ½ day of training during the spring)

Appropriate California Single Subject: MATHEMATICS OR SCIENCE credential with CLAD or BCLAD equivalent.

MHUSD will grant up to 14 years of previous accredited school experience upon employment verification.
