Chrysalis is seeking a 1st grade teacher who is warm, inspirational, passionate, and team-oriented for the 2025-26 School Year. Learn more about us at https://www.chrysalischarter.org/ What You Will Do As a Chrysalis teacher, you will be responsible for crafting the educational program for 20 students in a self-contained 1st grade classroom with the support of an amazing team of colleagues and office staff. Specific duties include: Embodying the mission of the school in everything you do Creating the environment necessary for every child in your room to develop deep conceptual understanding in all academic subjects Empowering students to alter the course of learning that happens in the classroom through responsive teaching Cultivating a kind environment by earning the trust and respect of each student; actively teaching social skills; and immediately addressing behavior concerns that impact students’ emotional and social well-being Strengthening the Chrysalis community by developing close and caring relationships with students, parents, teachers, and staff Embracing the science and nature focus of the school through crafting opportunities for students to actively investigate their world during daily science classes, weekly field studies, and
