Job Summary

Job Summary

The State Preschool Assistant operates under the supervision of a State Preschool Teacher to provide care, instruction, and supervision of children in a County-operated State Preschool program under the direct supervision of a fully qualified staff member (State Preschool Teacher and/or Associate). The State Preschool Assistant only assists in the collaboration and presentation of activity plans.

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Experience working with preschoolers or infants/toddlers (paid or volunteer), including caring for one’s own children, volunteering in a classroom setting, babysitting, or other child care, and/or supervising child activities (this experience must be shown on your application and/or attachments). NECESSARY MATERIALS FOR APPLICATION • Completed EDJOIN application (incomplete applications will not be accepted); • One (1) current letter of reference (dated and signed within 3 years).

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications and attach all necessary materials through Ed-Join before the stated deadline to qualify as a candidate.
