Student Engagement Specialist (similar to an Elementary Assistant Principal) 3 Positions available Kermit King Elementary/Pat Butler Elementary Virginia Peterson Elementary Glen Speck Elementary Under the direction of the Site Principals, assist the principal in fulfilling his/her major responsibilities as leader of the school; assist in the development, implementation, evaluation and improvement of school district programs, policies and procedures with particular focus on unduplicated youth. Plans and monitors the implementation of the Positive Behavior Intervention Program; monitors site attendance and implements programs to enhance attendance including Saturday School, incentive programs, mentorship programs, co/extra-curricular programs which promotes student connection. Monitors student behavior and provides students with appropriate intervention and counseling opportunities to promote positive behavior and culture on campus. Develops positive relationships and provides effective leadership with students, staff, and parents for programs that promote positive student behavior and connection to school through improved attendance and strong academic performance.
