Requirements / Qualifications

Provide assessment and intervention, on-going counseling services, and outside referrals to students and families for mental health services. Serve students identified by the IEP team for Educational Related Mental Health Services. Deliver student curriculum addressing mental health issues. Participate on a Student Attendance and Review Board and Student Study team as requested. Distinguishing Characteristics: Well-developed human relations skills to achieve and maintain trust and cooperation with peers and students, to deliver formal discussion with classroomsized groups, to resolve conflict, and to use advanced lines of inquiry to obtain personal information from students. Exemplary writing, communication, time management and organizational skills. Therapist will support the counseling needs of students within the therapeutic K-2 and 3-5 classrooms. Education & Licenses: Requires a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Clinical Social Work, or Counseling Psychology, and a current California State License in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy. A valid California driver’s license is also required. Please note: This position begins for the 2025-2026 school year.
