Job Summary

The job of Community Liaison II is done for the purpose/s of improving communication and student achievement by promoting parent and community involvement in the education process; providing information on services available to eligible students and families; conveying information regarding school and/or district activities and procedures; and referring families to other agencies. Incumbents in this classification provide direct academic support to students and teachers which directly supports learning. This job reports to Principal or Designee

Requirements / Qualifications Summary of job responsibilities: Provide direct services to families, specifically those who speak Spanish, around acclimating to schools and US culture, school registration, understanding the programs and apps used for classroom instruction, and supporting families with how to communicate with teachers, counselors, and administration. Experience: Successful experience in working with the Spanish speaking community. Fluent and biliterate in English and Spanish highly preferred. Education: Targeted job related education that meets organization’s prerequisite requirements. Certificates & Licenses: Valid Class 3 California Driver’s License Clearances: -Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance -TB Clearance
