VISTA REAL CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL Seasonal - Full Time, Monday - Friday; 8:00AM - 4:30PM COMPENSATION: $25.00 per hour - Bachelor's Degree $20.00 per hour - At least two years of College (48 units), or Associate degree (or higher) from an accredited state college, or pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction issued by an approved Local education agency. Learn more about us at https://learn4life.org/ HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: The L4L Expanded Learning Opportunities (LELO) Tutor will provide academic support in the form of one-on-one or small group tutoring. The Tutor will help the student comprehend subject material to successfully complete the course. This position will perform other related school activities in support of student engagement and retention. Reports to Principal or designee.
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or the equivalent, and Two years of college (48 units), or Associate degree (or higher), or Pass a State or local academic assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction (California Basic Education Skills Test) Knowledgeable in Math and Reading teaching techniques is preferred. • Experience in related tutorial and mentoring is preferred. • Knowledgeable in Math and Reading teaching techniques is preferred. • Bilingual speaking skills is desired. • A demonstrated interest in a teaching career is desired. • Proficient level of skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other technology applications • Ability to travel in performance of job duties is required. • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 10 pounds
