Job Summary

Job Summary

The ELOP Instructor for Summer 2025 is a temporary, grant-funded role focused on providing TK–6 students with academic and enrichment activities. Working June 30–August 1, 2025, this position involves designing engaging lessons, providing lesson instruction, and ensuring a safe learning environment. Candidates must have at least a high school diploma, 12 semester units in education or child development, and current CPR certification; higher education or experience is preferred. The job pays $27/hour, does not include permanent status or benefits, and ends when the grant term conclude

Requirements / Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Current CPR Training Certificate. Minimum 12 semester units in education or childhood development (transcripts required).

Must be available for the duration of the term of Employment: June 30, 2025 to August 1, 2025 Shifts Available: M-F 7am to 3:45pm; M-F 9:30am to 4:30pm

Bachelor’s degree in education, childhood development, or a related field preferred. Currently enrolled college students will be considered. Previous experience working with school-aged children in an instructional or recreational setting is preferred. Ability to plan and implement engaging activities for diverse groups of students. Strong communication and organizational skills. The Every Student Succeeds Act requires all paraprofessionals to have a high school diploma or high school equivalency recognized by the California Department of Education and one of the following: -Have 48 semester or 72 quarter units from a recognized college or university OR -Have and associate degree from a recognized college or university OR -Pass the Instructional Assistance and District Proficiency Test (testing on site at district office) *Current instruction aides and Individuals with 48 semester college units or more are exempt from testing.
