Requirements / Qualifications
This is an open and promotional recruitment and competitive examination to fill a current opening and to establish an eligibility list for openings for a period of one year, or until depleted. The current Athletic Trainer position is 8 hpd and the hours will vary based on scheduled sporting events; Monday through Friday, and periodically working some Saturdays may be required. Sporting events must be attended to monitor athletic activities and provide medical treatment. BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Principal, perform a variety of activities involved in the prevention and treatment of student athletic injuries; attend sports events to monitor athletic activities and provide medical treatment services; evaluate student injuries and provide students with health care, first aid and rehabilitation.
Any combination equivalent to: bachelor's degree in physical education and one year experience providing first aid, preventative and rehabilitative treatment to athletes. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: · Valid California driver's license · Valid National Athletic Trainers Association Certification · Possession of valid First Aid and Child/Infant/Adult CPR certificates issued by a recognized agency. (No online certificates accepted and copies must be submitted along with the application materials.)
