We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Middle School Science Teacher to join our team! This position requires a Science credential (or a preliminary Science credential with enrollment in a credentialing program). The teacher will be responsible for instructing 7th-grade Life Science and 8th-grade Physical Science, fostering curiosity and a love for scientific inquiry in students. Key Responsibilities: - Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned science lessons for 7th and 8th graders. - Create a structured, well-managed classroom environment that supports student learning. - Build strong, positive relationships with students to support their academic and social growth. - Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners. - Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and instruction. - Maintain high expectations for student behavior and academic achievement. - Be open to feedback and committed to continuous professional growth. Qualifications: - Required: A valid Science teaching credential (or preliminary credential with enrollment in a credentialing program). - Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a positive learning environment. - Passion for working with middle school students and supporting their development. - A growth mindset and willingness to improve instructional practices. Requirements / Qualifications
MATERIALS -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Science Education, or a closely related field. - Valid teaching credential or certification for the state of California, with an endorsement in Science if required, and familiarity with NGSS. Proven experience in teaching middle school science with a track record of effectively integrating NGSS into curriculum and instruction. - Strong knowledge of science content across multiple disciplines and a passion for teaching science in a way that is engaging and relevant to middle school students.
