**CATEGORICAL** Clinical Social Worker (MSW) Salary: $ 93,068 - $120,162 annually Excellent Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits up to 10 years service credit Under the direction of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), the Clinical Social Worker/Master’s Level Social Worker (MSW) and Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) will provide tiered clinical services for students at schools throughout the district; promote early identification of students with social-emotional issues and recommend appropriate interventions, supports and services; address barriers preventing academic, behavioral, attendance and social-emotional success. The MSW will participate in parent training and staff development, and assist in the development of preventative services to both general and special education students. The MSW may supervise social work interns, depending on experience.
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Social Work. Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited college or university. Mandatory registration through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). Minimum of one year employment in the field of social work working with school-age children, or a one-year field placement in a mental health setting working with school-age children.

Mental Requirements: While performing the duties of this position, the employee may regularly be required to use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information and documents; analyze and solve problems; observe and interpret situations; learn and apply new information or skills; use math and mathematical reasoning; perform highly detailed work; work on multiple and concurrent tasks; work with frequent interruptions; work under intensive deadlines; and interact with District and program personnel, school administrators, managers, staff, vendors, the public, and others encountered in the course of work.
Appointment to this position predicated upon passing a post offer physical and submitting a negative TB result. In addition, the selected candidate must complete the state fingerprinting requirements and the district must receive a Certificate of Clearance by the California Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation. Within three days of employment, all new employees shall show appropriate documents, which certify that they are legally eligible to work in the United States. The Immigration Reform and Control Act require the district to obtain documentation from every individual who is employed which verifies identity and authorizes his/her right to work in the United States. Selected candidates will not begin work until a fingerprint clearance has been completed and submission of required documents.
