Job Summary
The secondary counselor working in the Wellness and Transition Programs will be responsible for providing services related to the delivery of mental health care to students and will provide consultation services to the school staff to support the overall mental health goals of the school and contribute to overall student success. The role requires that the individual understand the importance of social emotional wellbeing for students, plan and deliver SEL lessons, and adopt culturally responsive approaches when dealing with a diverse population. Additionally, this position will provide transition services in programming for all new students. In addition to the Wellness and Transition Programs, this counselor will maintain a small student caseload and will collaborate with staff, administrators, students, community resources and parents to promote student success in the areas of academic, career, and personal/social development (American School Counseling Association-ASCA Standards).

SELECTION PROCESS
All materials related to applications must be received online through Edjoin no later than 4:00 p.m. on March 21, 2025, or upon receipt of 75 applications, whichever happens first. Applications will be reviewed by a screening committee and the most qualified applicants will be invited to interview. Initial interviews are tentatively scheduled for March 28, 2025. Second-round interview Candidates will be tentatively scheduled for April 3, 2025. A Third round interview is tentatively scheduled for April 9, 2025.
