Job Summary

Under the direction of the Principal, the High School Science Teacher serves students at Emery Secondary School and teaches two or more courses in the field of science to students in grades 9th – 12th, which may include biology, environmental science, AP Biology, AP Environmental Science or other integrated science. Using teaching methods and best practices that inspire and engage students learning across all abilities and multiple intelligences is essential. Additionally, the teacher teams with Emery Unified School District and the Science Department to develop a well-articulated K-12 Science program that addresses the California Science standards.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Biology or other Life Science authorizing instruction in science. • CLAD / CTEL Certification • Fingerprint and tuberculosis clearances as required by law.
