The district is made up of a TK-8 elementary school that serves 715 students and a TK-12 charter school that serves 595 students. Job Summary

Job Summary

This site leadership position provides specialized reading intervention and support for students with significant reading difficulties and coordinates school-wide Tier 2 intervention programs. Selects and administers universal screening assessments, diagnostic assessments, progress monitoring assessments, and direct observational assessments, and interprets results to identify students in need of intervention support and measure growth and progress. Selects and implements interventions, measures and communicates results, and provides guidance and coaching to teachers. Assists with the design, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive literacy plan. Provides support for the selection and implementation of literacy curricula and provides training and professional development for classroom teachers and other instructional staff. Evaluates literacy instruction practices and reports findings. Guides teachers and administrators in collaborative efforts to design, implement, evaluate, and improve academic intervention programs. Organizes, leads, and coordinates academic intervention programs during and after the school day in reading, math, and other subject areas. Manages and directs a caseload of students receiving Tier 2 interventions, including progress monitoring, communication with stakeholders, and documentation of services. Possesses a deep understanding of literacy development, assessment, data analysis, intervention strategies, differentiated instruction, effective collaboration, and the effective use of technology resources.

BA/BS Degree Valid California Teaching Credentials: Multiple Subject & Reading and Literacy Leadership Specialist (RLLS) Valid EL Authorization/CLAD

Comments and Other Information

The successful candidate will serve as the site Intervention Coordinator, and will earn a $4,500 annual stipend (in addition to base salary) for the performance of the Intervention Coordinator duties beyond the normal professional day and school year. Starting salary range: $67,484 - $118,220 plus the $4,500 Technology Coordinator Stipend. $1,000 Master's degree stipend. Candidates with a Multiple Subject credential, a RLLS credential, and successful experience as a Reading Specialist preferred.
