High School Diploma or equivalent AND: * Three years (3) years experience in preparing food in a commercial or institutional operation. * Knowledge of operations of quantity food preparation and equipment. * Knowledge of kitchen sanitation methods, safety principles. * Serve safe certified within six (6) months with certification renewal ever five (5) years. * Two (2) recent letters of reference attached to application. * To be considered all requirements must be attached when submitting application.

Applicants must successfully complete each part of the examination process in order to be considered further. PLEASE NOTE: WE MAY REQUIRE SUPERVISOR RECOMMENDATION FORMS FOR IN HOUSE EMPLOYEES. WRITTEN TEST: TO BE DETERMINED (PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL FOR AN INVITATION TO THE TEST). PERFORMANCE TEST: TO BE DETERMINED SCORING: WRITTEN AND PERFORMANCE TEST MUST BE PASSED WITH A 75% OR BETTER ON EACH TEST IN ORDER TO MOVE ONTO INTERVIEWS. All examinations must be passed with 75% or better. An eligibility list will be in effect for 6 months or until less than 3 applicants remain on the list. If FIVE (5) permanent employees from the Lancaster School District demonstrates the ability to meet the job qualifications, the position will be filled on a promotional basis.
