Job Summary
Job Summary
Develops, implements, and maintains a student counseling program that meets the educational, social, and emotional life goals of individual students; Provide informational services to students and parents which will assist the student in making appropriate decisions relative to the school program, the student’s relationship with teachers, and decision outside of the school setting; Provide direct services to students in crisis; work with multi- disciplinary teams to identify students needing assistance with mental health concerns, academic challenges and truancy issues.
Requirements / Qualifications
This position is open until filled and applications will be routinely screened and qualified candidates will be invited to interview. This assignment will be with the Alternative Education Programs. The position will be an itinerant position that may travel to various Alternative Education sites in both north and south Santa Cruz County. Must hold a Valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling. Valid Class C California Driver's License and Auto Insurance; Valid TB Test.
Fully paid dental and vision insurance covering both employee and dependents. The employee is also provided with long-term disability insurance and life insurance. Medical benefits: There is an employee paid portion for medical benefits depending upon the medical plan chosen which covers employee and dependents.
