Education and Experience
•High school graduate. •Two years experience in working with school-age children in a group setting.

Applications without valid First Aid AND CPR certificates will not be considered. Please note that BLS does not count as First Aid. First Aid must be specifically listed on the card/certificate. Online certifications are only accepted if they are obtained through a blended learning class, which is composed of an online portion and an instructor-led skills session, which is taught in person. Certificates must meet guidelines of the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

  • Copy of Transcript (A total of 18 semester units at an accredited college in early childhood education, child development, recreation, supervision of school-age children or related subjects. Six semester units must be in administration or staff relations. Program may be in progress at the time of employment with a minimum of 12 units completed. The employee agrees to successfully complete the additional units to equal 18 units within 6 months of hire date or Children's Center Supervisory Permit.)

The position Under the direction of the Program Coordinator, is responsible for the planning, implementation and supervision of the Extended School Program Center; performs clerical and administrative duties and other related duties as required as the Lead Instructor of the Child-care Program.
