Student Support Services Specialist for Adults with Acquired or Traumatic Brain Injury at Mt. Diablo Adult Education
Requirements / Qualifications
• Compassionate, independent, resourceful • Knowledge of local resources • Ability to be flexible and creative in planning, organizing and instruction • Ability to provide support and to coach individuals with various challenges through assistive adaptations • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Possession of valid California driver’s license, reliable transportation with proof of insurance • Bachelor’s degree in related area. Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, Licensed Occupational Therapist, Licensed Speech Therapist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred. • Experience working with adults with disabilities (experience with brain injury preferred) • If interested in additional teaching hours, must be willing to apply for an adult education teaching credential.
