We're Hiring: Assistant Environmental Safety Officer at LAUSD Are you passionate about environmental health and safety? The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is looking for an Assistant Environmental Safety Officer to join our team and help ensure a safe and healthy learning environment for over 575,000 students across our district. As part of the Office of Environmental Health and Safety (OEHS), you'll be responsible for conducting inspections, assessing environmental impacts, and supporting the district in meeting or exceeding health, safety, and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities: Perform environmental health and safety investigations and audits. Support accident prevention and environmental compliance efforts. Prepare recommendations for compliance with various safety regulations. Conduct inspections for traffic safety, fire prevention, air and water quality, and waste control. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Graduation from a recognized college or university in environmental health, public health, industrial hygiene, or a related field. Experience: At least one year of experience in environmental health and safety investigations, audits, and analysis. Special Requirements: A valid California driver’s license (or alternative transportation), and the ability to work in environments that may require wearing a respirator.
