Job Summary
As Nazareth School’s Principal, you will be part of a global setting and serve as a visionary leader, integrating the school’s philosophy and mission into daily operations while fostering academic excellence, faith formation, and a strong sense of community. In alignment with the Diocese teaching, this role provides strategic leadership in academics, administration, and school development to ensure a thriving and dynamic learning environment.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Master’s degree in educational administration and/or a California Administrative Credential, or a master’s degree in education with a Catholic Leadership Certificate. - Five or more years of teaching experience, including at least three years in a leadership or administrative role, preferably in a Catholic or faith-based educational setting. - Experience in financial management and fundraising within an educational setting (preferred). - Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage overall school operations, foster a positive school culture, and maintain discipline conducive to learning. - Expertise in curriculum development, instructional best practices, and fostering academic excellence. - Deep understanding of Catholic school philosophy with the ability to integrate Catholic teachings into school programs and serve as a faith leader. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with staff, students, parents, and the community. - Knowledge of state laws and regulations, including school safety protocols. - Ability to develop and oversee budgets, manage fundraising efforts, and allocate resources effectively. - Proficiency in educational technology and administrative systems to support school operations. - Practicing Roman Catholic dedicated to personal faith development and fostering faith growth within the school community, with a strong commitment to the ministry of Catholic education.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to remain in an office at a computer workstation and access information from a computer and use a telephone. The employee is required to be mobile to, from, and within the school, as well as maneuver throughout the school facility to attend meetings, briefings, and other work-related events. The employee may be required to conduct trips to, from, and within various city and county-wide locations to attend meetings or events. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
