The Roseville City School District (RCSD) was established in 1869 with 44 students and now serves more than 12,000 students. RCSD has emerged as Roseville’s community hub of education. We opened our 21st school in 2023/2024 and are scheduled to open more to accommodate anticipated growth. California Teaching Credential
For TK qualifications, - Units must be verifiable with transcripts. - Professional Experience must be verifiable, full time and credentialed. Applications without the required attachments will not be considered for review.
- Copy of Transcript (Copy of Transcripts (credential program and beyond) - front and back)
- Credential Copy (California Credential (general education), proof currently active or letter of eligibility from program. )
- Letter of Introduction (Addressed to Meghan Baichtal, Assistant Superintendent-Personnel Services)
- Letter(s) of Reference (must submit ONLY three (3) recent letters from the current school year, including one from a supervisor)

The requirements to teach TK include answering "yes" to one of the following:
1. Prior to 2015, have you taught TK or a combo of Kindergarten and TK? (For this, please be prepared to list your specific experience on the application response line.)
2. Do you have at least 24 units in early childhood education, or child development or both?
3. After 2015, do you have a minimum of two years of professional teaching experience (credentialed/full time) in a classroom setting with preschool aged children?
4. Do you have a Child Development Teacher Permit issued by the CTC?
