Job Summary
The PJUSD Summer Workforce Development Program is a 4 week internship program that will commence in June 2025, recruiting PJUSD Patterson High School, Del Puerto and OVIS students, grades 9-11 (ages 14+), to gain meaningful work experience during the summer. At this time we are not accepting Creekside Middle School Students. The program aims to blend practical employment with educational components, offering student participants an opportunity to gain valuable skills, earn elective credits, and prepare for a diverse set of careers. Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: Must be grades 9-11, age 14+, and have a 2.0 GPA with no F’s (current semester) Licenses, Certificates and Other Requirements: -Letter of Introduction -Resume -One Letter of Reference (recently signed) -Copy of Transcript - Work Permit (must be acquired upon hire)

Custodial/Grounds/Maintenance (Custodial & Landscaping)
-Deep Cleaning, Dusting, Mopping, Extraction Cleaning
-Adding Bark to Planters, String Trimming, Edging and Detailing
Clerical Administration & Field work with Patterson Fire (ages 16+)
-Office Management
-Departmental Budgeting
-Data Entry and Filing
Fire Inspections
-Hydrant Testing
-Fire Preplanning and Plan Review
-Fire Department Emergency Responses (may ride along on an engine for observation)
-Fire Department Training (may participate in and/or observe training)
-Emergency Medical Services
Finance Department
-Scanning, Data Entry, Filing
Nutrition Services Operations
-Food Preparation, Distribution, Inventory, Dishwashing
Information Technology (IT)
-Chromebook support: Updates, Repairs, Cleaning, and Preparation for next year
