As part of a junior high teaching assignment, teaches one or more clases of science to pupils in grades 7th & 8th and assists in other school programs as developed by staff. Plans a balanced science instructional program involving demonstrations, lectures, discussions, and pupil experiments; organizes laboratory demonstrations and/or activities and procedures for optimum learning. Teaches skills, knowledge, and scientific attitudes through courses in general science, utilizing the district course of study and other appropriate learning activities. May conduct developmental or pilot science programs officially approved by the district.

*Must have a valid California Single Subject Credential or additional authorization to teach Science with EL Authorization The following documents must be submitted with the application in order to be considered:

  • Copy of Transcript (Unofficial transcripts are acceptable)
  • Credential Copy
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 (Three) Letters of Recommendation Signed and Dated Within 6 (Six) Months Required)
  • Resume
