Job Summary
Coordinates the parent involvement and instruction service area offered by the District to enhance parenting and connection to school activities. Promotes and conducts a variety of parent education training modules. Coordinates a variety of parent involvement programs, meetings and workshops.
Requirements / Qualifications
Position requires an Associates degree in a social service or early childhood education curriculum and 3 years of progressively responsible experience working with preschool aged children and families with special needs. Additional higher education may substitute for some experience. Must pass the EMCSD Proficiency Test. Must have an AA as noted above. Desired: Bilingual-English/Spanish
Knowledge of family case management and record keeping requirements established by the District and external agencies. Requires working knowledge of child development principles and practices including the special needs of families from diverse socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds. Please see Job Description.
