Job Summary

Job Summary

Under direction of the Superintendent, performs complex accounting functions with considerable latitude, maintains important financial and statistical records, prepares regular and special reports and applies a wide knowledge of procedures, current operations, rules and procedures to assigned tasks, and assists in training staff. The CBO performs specialized accounting, budget preparation, and budget control, utilizing manual and computer-assisted processes; performs difficult and technical accounting and other duties as assigned. This position requires the supervision of employees.

Requirements / Qualifications

AA Degree in a related field, Bachelor of Arts Degree in a related field preferred; California School Business Official Certificate preferred; At least four years responsible experience in school business accounting, auditing, and reporting; Previous school district experience preferred.
