Job Summary
GENERAL INFORMATION: The job of the Human Resource Assistant is done for the purpose/s of serving as a receptionist to the NCOE front office; providing clerical support to the human resources office; reviewing files and documents; and providing information to the employees and the public.
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Must be a high school graduate; able to type with speed and accuracy
•Must be able to pass a general clerical and Excel test.
• The position requires a basic knowledge of generally accepted office practices that would be used in a human resources office.
• Requires demonstrated skills at using a personal computer for word processing, tabulating data on spreadsheets, accessing and entering data onto relational databases, verifying numerical and demographic information, and entering information onto established data entry screens.
• Requires sufficient human relations skill to convey technical concepts to others, exercise patience in working with a diverse customer base, and to deal with sensitive and private information.
• Requires sufficient math skills to compute sums, averages, ratios, products, and quotients.
• Requires sufficient language, grammar, and writing skill to edit routine correspondence.
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly desired.
