Summary Drives a school bus over designated routes for the purpose of transporting students to and from school and on special trips. Provides custodian, grounds keeping, or warehousing services, may assist with assigning routes and trips to optimize use of available drivers, or may become a behind-the-wheel instructor. Education and Experience The position typically requires a high school diploma and 3 years of school bus and related transportation experience. Licenses and Certificates Requires valid Commercial Class A or B Driver’s License with School Bus, Passenger, and Air Brake endorsements; medical examination card; valid California Special Driver Certificate; valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s License; and valid CPR and First Aid Certification. Working Conditions Work is performed in office, servicing station, and highway traffic environments where some safety considerations exist. Pre-Placement Medical Assessment You must be able to pass a post-offer medical assessment. Your appointment is not assured until you have passed the post-offer medical assessment. $1,000 signing bonus
