Job Summary: Edward B. Cole Sr. Academy is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or experienced Paraprofessional with a strong background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to provide 1:1 support for a student with intensive behavioral needs. This role requires a dedicated individual capable of implementing behavior intervention plans, employing ABA strategies, and collaborating with the Special Education team to ensure student success. Under the direction of the Director of Special Education, the RBT/Paraprofessional will work closely with the student both inside and outside the classroom to support their academic, social, and behavioral development. The ideal candidate will possess an RBT certification or have extensive experience working with children with autism or other behavioral challenges.

Requirements / Qualifications

Requirements / Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent (required). RBT Certification (preferred) or experience implementing ABA strategies. Experience working with children with autism, behavioral challenges, or other special needs. Bilingual in Spanish (preferred). CPR and First Aid Certification (required before the first day of work). TB and DOJ Clearance (required before the first day of work). Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team. Patience, empathy, and a calm demeanor in challenging situations. Ability to follow structured behavior plans and make adjustments as directed. Willingness to engage in professional development and training related to ABA and behavior management.
