Job Summary
The job of AVID Tutor is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional program by assisting in the planning and implementation of instructional support and lesson plans and providing additional supports to students.

To be considered for this position, you must individually attach the following items to your completed Edjoin application: • Resume • Letter(s) of Recommendation (2 letters written within the last 12 months) • Please submit a copy of your degree and OR unofficial transcripts Education: • High school diploma or GED; and Academic proficiency requirements in ONE of the following ways: - Completed two years or more of college units (48+ units); OR - Received an AA degree or higher Experience: • Experience working in an instructional environment preferred • Experience or education in the areas of child development preferred • CPR training, First Aid and AES Training preferred Clearances Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance TB Clearance Physical Exam Drug Screen Must complete any mandatory training assigned by the Academy that is generally applicable to the position
