Job Summary
Under the direction of certificated staff, assist Transitional Kindergarten teacher with classroom lessons, activities, organization, and management. Responsibilities include assisting teacher with teaching new concepts or translating information for students to understand better, supervising students, caring for students’ physical and emotional well-being and health and safety, and providing students with a positive, nurturing guide that promotes dignity and pride in all relationships.
Requirements / Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree (In child development or a related field preferred) 2. Possession of a valid Emergency Substitute Credential 3. Recent first aid and CPR certifications. 4. Experience working with children (in a school setting preferred) 5. Passion for working with a socio-economically, culturally and racially diverse community of students 6. Demonstrate professionalism and ability to work in collaboration with staff and other community members 7. Ability to show empathy, compassion and patience to students 8. Strong management and organizational skills 9. DOJ Background Check and TB Test
