Job Summary

The Development Manager will be a passionate advocate for the Echo Horizon School community of learners and will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy and building a culture of philanthropy to increase Annual Fund support. The Development Manager will take the lead on producing key fundraising and all school special events and will serve as the school liaison to the Parent Association. This position serves as a member of the School’s Advancement team. *We will consider candidates for a four day a week (80%) position or for a 5 day a week (100%) position Duties and Responsibilities: Works with the Head of School, Board of Trustees and Development Committee to develop long and short-term fundraising strategies and to achieve Board support for fundraising. Develops a fundraising program designed to generate maximum monetary support possible through the management of our annual fund, stewardship, and donor events. Serves as the lead manager of the Echo Horizon Fund. This includes all activities that will lead to the achievement of our annual fund goal. Prepares a yearly Development and Annual Fund plan, monitors progress against goals, and produces monthly reports. Report 7x annually to the Board of Trustees on progress towards goals. Serve as a contributing member of the School’s Advancement Team and Parent Association Leadership Team. With the collaboration of the Head of School and Advancement Team support parent volunteer efforts and PA Leadership events. Communicates effectively with the community through the writing of solicitation letters, creation of video content, and thank you notes. Designs high quality appeals. Work collaboratively with the Head of School and Advancement Team to provide research and prospecting documents to support donor outreach.
