Job Summary
This is an applicant pool for the 2025-26 school year opportunities. The Special Education Teacher/Case Manager is responsible for implementing comprehensive and effective instructional programs for students with Individualized Education Programs ("IEPs"), in accordance with the guidance of the Director of Special Education. This includes planning, organizing, presenting, monitoring, and evaluating these programs to ensure meaningful and impactful education for these students. Additionally, the Special Education Teacher/ Case Manager will fulfill any other assigned duties that contribute to the overall success of the school. This posting is in all Southern California counties that Excel Academy serves. You will be directed to one posting to apply. You need only apply once and specify the county you would prefer. Applicants must reside in the Southern California area. Occasional travel to meet with students/family in Counties we service to a mutually agreed upon location. Requirements / Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. A Master’s degree in Education or a related field Valid Clear Special Education Instruction Credential ( Moderate/Severe) Minimum of two years successful experience as a teacher in a special education setting Two years successful experience as a special education case manager desired Ability to differentiate instructional strategies to support students at all developmental and academic skills levels (grades TK through 12) desired A valid, current, and appropriate California state Clear Education Specialist Credential.A copy of the Teaching Credential to be provided and kept current. Failure to renew teaching credentials may result in termination of the at-will agreement Hold and maintain a valid California Driver’s License; proof of automobile insurance; and full time use of a dependable automobile that is insured pursuant to California regulations Copy of Transcript (unofficial transcripts are acceptable) Credential Copy (Mod/Severe) Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Recommendation (Three current (within 1 year) letters of recommendation.
