TK Dual Language Immersion (DLI)Teacher (Pool) at King City Union School District
Requirements / Qualifications
- Must have a valid California Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential and BCLAD/EL Authorization (or be eligible for a waiver). (MUST HAVE A PRELIMINARY OR CLEAR CREDENTIAL) - At least 24 units in early childhood education, or childhood development, or both - Letter of Introduction - Resume - 3 Letters of Recommendation/Reference (MUST BE DATED, AND BE WITHIN THE PAST 12 MONTHS). - Copies of transcripts (front and back of page)
Credentialed teachers who are first assigned to a transitional kindergarten (TK) classroom after July 1, 2015, must have, by August 1, 2025, one of the following: *at least 24 units in early childhood education or child development, or both; *as determined and documented by the local educational agency employing the teacher, professional experience in a classroom setting with preschool age children meeting the criteria established by the governing board or body of the local educational agency that is comparable to the 24 units of education; or *a Child Development Teacher Permit, or an early childhood education specialist credential, issued from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) -->Permit options: Child Development Teacher Permit, Child Development Master Teacher Permit, Child Development Site Supervisor Permit, or the Child Development Program Director *This means that a credentialed teacher who was assigned to a transitional kindergarten classroom before July 1, 2015 is exempt from the requirements.
