Job Summary

Job Summary

Under direction of an assigned administrator, the Speech and Language Pathologist is responsible for assessing and determining eligibility of children with language and speech disorders, for formulating goals and objectives and providing instruction to effectively modify language and speech disorders, and for coordinating the instructional services with the multidisciplinary assessment team and school staff. The Speech and Language Pathologist provides consultation, confers with parents, teachers, and administrators, and coordinates the program within assigned sites; and performs related duties as required

Requirements / Qualifications

Qualification for employment includes completion of on line training in the following areas: *New Employee Training *Preventing Workplace Violence *Bloodborne Pathogens *Sexual Harassment *Child Abuse/Mandated Reporter Upon offer of employment, candidates will receive information and directions regarding this training. Applicants must a valid California Speech-Language Pathology Services or a Clinical Services credential authorizing services in Audiology

Additional Salary Information: * IUSD will accept up to fifteen years of previous experience. * Upon hiring, salary placement will be determined by the number of upper division/graduate level units earned from a WASC accredited four-year college or university. Units must be earned subsequent to the date of the Bachelor's degree. * There is a $2,000.00 Doctoral stipend.
