Vista High School is seeking a Head Football Coach for the 2025-2026 school year. The school is a comprehensive high school of nearly 1,800 students located six miles from the coast in beautiful north San Diego County. The school's athletic program has a long history of success and is hoping to continue its performance in Football. The Vista High School Football program is: * A member of San Diego County's Valley League competing against Westview, Rancho Buena Vista, and Fallbrook High Schools. * A complete program including freshman, junior varsity and varsity levels of competition. * Was the #1 seed in Division 5 playoffs in 2024. * Has an established group of returning players. Support & responsibilities for the Head Football Coach includes: * Extra-duty salary compensation, including 15 stipends for the program, Frosh-Varsity * Fund-raising and working with an established Booster club * Practice planning & game preparation * Issuing uniforms and equipment * Acting as a role model for integrity and hard work on and off campus * Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or Administration. The position requires the following qualifications: * At least Five (5) years experience in coaching high school Football. * Three (3) years as head coaching experience or experience as an offensive/defensive coordinator. * The ability to establish and maintain a competitive tradition in a climate that supports student success with high student expectations. * The desire and ability to compete with area high schools in various CIF competitions including all CIF sanctioned games and playoffs.
