Job Summary

The After School Assistant Director supports the planning and operations of a high-quality, personalized afterschool education and enrichment program for students, and upholds the mission and values of Aspire Public Schools. The After School Assistant Director is responsible for carrying out all administrative components of the afterschool program, including attendance, payroll and other reporting, communicating with parents, overseeing volunteers, ordering supplies, maintaining files and providing other logistical and clerical support to the After School Director as needed. What You Will Do: Supports the daily operation of the afterschool program. Maintains accurate student records, including attendance, and submits reports in accordance with Aspire procedures. Ensures compliance with all safety and other regulatory and/or funder requirements. Opens and closes the program in the absence of the Afterschool Director. Facilitates regular communications with parents/families about student attendance and behavior, as well as broader family engagement in the afterschool program. Assists in compiling and analyzing student performance data, conducting assessments and other data management as needed to support staff in delivering high-quality instruction. Provides occasional classroom, small group or individualized instruction as needed to support regular program operations. Provides other logistical and clerical support to the Afterschool Director as needed. Creates an environment of high expectations for learning, student behavior and staff professionalism. Demonstrates knowledge of, and supports, Aspire Public Schools’ mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and code of ethical behavior.
