OPENING DETAILS: Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day Work Hours: TBD Salary Range: A (Schedule B - Classified Supervisors and Managers) BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services, the Director leads, manages and directs the activities of the Information Technology and Education Support Department. Plans, develops, coordinates, implements, and manages the data networks, network security standards and procedures, technology infrastructure installation projects, and all telecommunication systems to support the core educational mission of the District. The Director has the knowledge, skills and ability to design and build a State of the Art, reliable, secure, stable network environment to support and sustain current and future educational technologies for innovative student learning and for the business and instructional demands of staff.
Requirements / Qualifications

An advanced degree in any of the above fields is desirable. Three years of increasingly responsible experience is required in information technology management, such as the development, installation and maintenance of information systems, LAN/WAN networks, telecommunications systems, the application of technology for administrative purposes or the application of educational technology in the classroom. Experience in a public school setting with instruction and education background is required. WORKING CONDITIONS:
The position requires repetitive use of fingers; use of wrists or hands in twisting motion or while applying pressure; use of both hands simultaneously; rapid mental and muscular coordination; hearing and understanding speech at normal levels; having the ability to distinguish color and shades; sitting at a desk for extended periods of time; standing and/or walking for extended periods of time; bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling and reaching in all directions; lifting and/or carrying up to fifty (50) pounds. Work is performed both inside and outside in changing temperatures. May work with District personnel alone and in the absence of an immediate supervisor. High volume of work with tight deadlines.
