Preschool Teacher - Early Childhood Education (MES) at Lake Elsinore Unified School District
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in early childhood education or health and human services required. Minimum of two (2) years prior work experience with children ages 3 to 5 years of age and their families in a structured setting required; Previous Head Start, community, home visit, case management experience preferred; Ability to speak, read, and effectively communicate in Spanish preferred. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED: Applicants are required to submit the following through Ed-Join prior to the position closing date/time: • Edjoin application • Letter of interest • Three current professional letters of reference dated within 12 months • Resume • Copy of valid CA Child Development Teacher Permit (or equivalent) • Copy of transcripts showing conferral of bachelor degree PERMITS/CREDENTIALS/CERTIFICATIONS: Valid California Children’s Center Permit or California Child Development Teacher Permit under Head Start Performance Standards required.

After a conditional offer of employment, applicants will be required to pay the cost of all pre-employment processing which may include: fingerprints, drug screening, TB testing, and physical examination. Valid CPR/First Aid card for infants and children and valid CA Driver’s License and evidence of insurability; required upon employment.
Salary Continued:
Up to 7 years maximum service credit given. (Maximum monthly entry-level salary $4,063 BA/CD Tchr Permit or $4,114 BA/Site Sup Permit)
