Responsibilities • Provide on and off-site behavioral counseling services districtwide to pupils and parents, which assist pupils in maintaining appropriate classroom behaviors. • Please consult with teachers to help develop classroom management strategies to help students with challenging behaviors. • Assist the staff in the reinforcement of appropriate student behavior • Make preliminary evaluations of the behavior of pupils referred to them by the teachers, the principal, and others • Provide training and advisement to staff on behavior management and preventative behavior strategies

Qualifications Requirements / Qualifications Pupil Personnel Services Credential: School Counselor • Must possess a valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential: School Counseling, or related credential, such as School Psychologist • Must have experience managing challenging student behavior. • Every individual employed by the School District must provide the required documents to verify employment eligibility under the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 • All applicants shall be accorded equality of consideration without discrimination on account of race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, gender, sexual orientation, sex, age or physical disability.
