Building and Construction Trades: This sector provides a foundation in the Building and Construction Trades industry for secondary students in California. Students engage in an instructional program that integrates academic and technical preparation and focuses on career awareness, career exploration, and skill preparation in the Building and Construction Trades industry. The sector encompasses four career pathways: Cabinetry, Millwork, and Woodworking; Engineering and Heavy Construction; Mechanical Systems Installation and Repair; and Residential and Commercial Construction. Standards included in the Building and Construction Trades sector are designed to prepare students for technical training, postsecondary education, and entry to a career. Hours: Up to 20 hours a week @ Youth Transition Campus (YTC) Information Communication Technology: Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) pathways are constantly evolving. Based in computing operations, pathways focus on software, networking and cybersecurity, telecommunications, Internet of Things, programming, and information systems support. Essential skills for careers in the ICT sector include understanding systems that support the management and flow of data, problem solving, the ability to work well and communicate clearly with people, and the ability to manage projects efficiently. Hours: Up to 15 hours a week @ East County Community School; Up to 15 hours a week @ San Pascual Academy Hospitality, Tourism, and Recreation (Culinary Arts Barista Training): The Culinary Arts: Barista Training program prepares students for careers in the dynamic food and beverage industry, with a specific focus on barista skills and coffee service. Students gain hands-on experience in coffee preparation, espresso techniques, latte art, and customer service in a café setting. Hours/Location: Up to 15 hours a week @ Innovations (Vista, CA); Up to 10 hours a week @ Monarch

The Juvenile Court and Community Schools (JCCS) provides a fully accredited educational program for school-age youth who are either wards of the court or have been referred by social services, probation, or one of the 42 school districts in San Diego County. Services are provided to incarcerated youth, pregnant minors, foster youth, expelled teens, and chronically truant youth, students in drug treatment centers and group homes for neglected or abused children, and homeless youth.

CREDENTIALS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Designated Subjects Teaching credential authorizing service in the appropriate content area being taught.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent verification

EXPERIENCE:
Candidates must be able to verify three years (3,000 hours) of professional work experience in appropriate field, with at least one year of hands-on experience and recency of one year in the last five years, or two years within the last 10 years.
